What is a brownfield?

Brownfield is a term used in urban planning to describe land previously used for industrial purposes or some commercial uses. Such land may have been contaminated with hazardous waste or pollution or is feared to be so.[1][2] Once cleaned up, such an area can become a community park or host to a business development such as a retail park. Land that is more severely contaminated and has high concentrations of hazardous waste or pollution, such as a Superfund site, does not fall under the brownfield classification. Mothballed brownfields are properties that the owners are not willing to transfer or put to productive reuse.

The project "Pozemky Česko" was created as the result of insufficient possibilities of presentation the existing deserted industrial estates and brownfields, whose owners are losing substantial resources by maintenance and new use of the property is nowhere in sight. Classical offering of this type of estates via traditional real estate agency is not attractive for the new investors, because they simply don't have time for the active search through the thousands of common real estate offers and thus unfortunatelly most brownfields and deserted industrial zones remain wasted, which is certainly pity, because within those buildings and sites is still huge potential .

Our database, which specializes only in the area of the real estates destined for investments, aims for clarity and high variability of the search attributes, so there is very easy way for the investor to look for industrial estate closest corresponding to his requirements. Furthermore by the additional forms of presentation of investment estates, both by standard ads and also by their introduction on the investment expos, we significantly increase the attractivity of the estate for investor and thus also its value for the owner.

Additionally, although it is not our primary objective, we would like to take this opportunity to revive the old wasted buildings and help to put them back to life, and not least contribute to the employment of the czech workers in these newly revived industrial sites.

We are interested in industrial zones, brownfields, greenfields and rental halls throughout the Czech Republic.

Years of experience in the field of investment and brownfield revitalization brought the repetitional bitter finding, that the current solution to the situation of abandoned and unused industrial estates is highly inefficient and therefore the desire to change this situation emerged.

The entire project is therefore directed to arrange the most favorable contracts between an investor and a property owner, while we try to ensure for these contracts to be mutually beneficial and attractive. We don't tie down the owners of industrial sites with any kind of agreement about exclusivity for offering of their property. Our main goal is, as already mentioned above, to bring back the life where it once prospered, and maybe often pointlessly perished.
